Aegis

It has been scientifically proven that 25% of all allergies and 50% of all asthmatic conditions are caused by dust mite allergens found in our homes, particularly in our beds. Dust mites feed on human skin cells that have been “digested” by specific bacteria. The anti-microbial properties of this fabric come from the aegis nano- layer, which attracts micro-organisms, pierces their membrane and deactivates them, stopping growth and proliferation. This disrupts the dust mite life cycle, subsequently stopping them from developing. Since aegis is permanently linked to the fibres, the fabric guarantees optimal and active hygiene over time, even after frequent washing. Aegis is safe for humans and the environment, as certified by tests run by independent labs. This fabric, moreover, made with viscose, is air permeable and hygroscopic.
