How to clean a hypo-allergenic mattress
Being able to wash the mattress covering is important, especially for people who have seasonal allergies like those caused by pollen. In spring and summer, wind can blow pollen from trees, grass and flowers into our homes, where it may build up on bedding fabric and sheets. By washing your mattress covering on a regular basis, you can eliminate pollen and prevent allergic reactions during the night as a result.
But how do you wash your hypo-allergenic mattress cover properly?
Generally speaking, simply follow the manufacturer’s instructions, which will tell you the maximum temperature at which to wash your quilted cover and how to dry it. We generally recommend washing your covering at least twice a year, but for those with more serious allergies, it should be washed more frequently.
